The type 1 basic shore station is the entry-level shore station. It is a stand-alone unit that tracks vessels fitted with Low Cost Vessel Tracker units. In addition, it collects, displays and provides voice and data radio communication at a very affordable price.

This shore station is aimed at small fishing villages where the community will be provided with an affordable tool to manage the fishermen in and around their area.

A typical deployment will include a mast for antennas and a suitable power source for the shore station.
